What to include on an ‘Art Table’
So this is what happened last weekend…
Hope Horizons is a Cancer Wellness Centre here in Toowoomba, and because they couldn't hold and host their annual Garden Party, satellite events were held all over town - and this is what we did in my backyard!
I knew that I had to include an art table, and I'm so glad these lovelies got stuck in and enjoyed it (that's Lynne, Micarlia, Natalie, Leisa, Terri and Vicky in their floral finery)!
I laid out:
- watercolours,
- brushes,
- pencils,
- some kitchen towel,
- some flowers and books for reference,
- watercolour paper and
- jars of water.
Might be a good Christmas idea? Even if you're only able to see a few people this year, an art table is ALWAYS a good idea.
A footnote
Remember to make art with your kids. These two of mine are tweens now… that little one is about to finish primary school.
Many years ago, a friend asked her, “Do you want to be an artist like your mum when you grow up?”
She replied, “I already am!”
Keep sharing the joy!
